Valentine's Day Belated

Here is my lovely new fondue pot, courtesy of East Bay Restraunant Supply.
It is adorned with Bruce's manly arm.

This year I planned a surprised date for Bruce & I....everyone in my club planned dates for our hubbies. The rule was that it had to be something neither one of us have ever done. After much research & thought, I made a reservation at East Bay Restaurant Supply. We did a cooking class where we learned about, made & ate FONDUE!!! We tried alot of stinky cheese. I thought it was dreamy....Bruce, not so much. He had a good time although he thinks fondue is alot of work for a not so great meal. I schooled him on the fact that fondue, stinky cheeses and such are among the most romantic foods on earth...He's not buying it. I would think that a girl from Red Bluff would be less likely to be attracted to this type of eating then a native Sacramenten. The truth is...Bruce is way more Red Neck than me!! So, he'll stick to his corn dogs and sunflower seeds while I enjoy my Gruyere & Brie. Thank you very much! Preferances, or should I say differences, aside....we had a wonderful date together. Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving

Wednesday night, while others were busily preparing for guests, baking pies & thawing turkeys, we were out....on a hot date...feeling like high-rollers.
My cousin, Jared(who's btw now my favorite cousin)gave us Kings tickets. 2nd row on the floor just behind the newscasters and just barely to the side of New Jersey Nets.
I swear I was waiting for Bobby Jackson to turn around and wink at me!



Aren't we so cute? You may not know this, but I had alot of boyfriends before Bruce, no one lasted long...Bruce & I have been together 11 years now, married for 10. I love it that after all this time we still are like 2 naughty teenagers having fun together!

Here you are, turning the ripe old age of 37...I feel like I now can say I've grown up with you. I was only 20 when we met. I knew I wanted to marry you from the moment we had our first dance together. You impressed me with how quickly you opened up to me and shared feelings and things so personal with me. I was never able to do that. You put your hand on my back and sent me a-SHIVERING! Then, when you built that blazing fire in my living room on our first date....WOW! I would have eloped that night. You understand my struggles more than anyone. You do drive me crazy. We're sooo different in so many ways. I'm sure people that don't know us very well wonder how we ever got together. The truth that only we will ever really understand, is that we're almost one in the same. I love you so much. You've overcome so much in your life. You make us all crazy with all your talking but it is what I love so much about you too. I never in my life thought there was another person as insecure as me that could still talk as much as me. I love your chicken skuffle. I'm so happy to be married to you.

My Foreman

Last month Bruce was made a foreman at work. He recently was given the "blue" hard hat which set him apart on the jobsite as the "man". He's been taping with the union for almost 11 years now so he was very excited. We had fun playing around with the hard hat the day he received it...He says I'm the ham of the family. You can clearly see by the way he's showing off his big guns that he likes a turn at it every now and then. Congrats Bruce!!! I'm so proud of you!
