In Training...

This will sound CRAZY to those who know me well....tomorrow am, super early, I'm beginning to train for Eppie's Great Race 2009!!!! I've never done any races at all so to do a triathlon for my 1st is pretty nuts. But I'm super stoked....I've got friends doing it with me and the most exciting part is that we've agreed to have matching custom team workout wear for the race!!!

My Family Home Evening Board

Many of you have heard about or have been part of the Live, Laugh, Love club that I'm in and love so much! Last night, we met and my friend, Debbie, hosted a fabulous evening. We are a very eclectic group of women for which I'm grateful. It's so good to have a little diversity in my life. We meet monthly with the purpose of helping one another teach values to our children and create and keep family traditions. Each month is assigned a value that coordinates to the holiday occuring in that month. Although, August not having a major holiday is assigned the value of Faith. We usually have a project that we work on that will aid our family in teaching the value for the upcoming month. We also have a "take-home tradition" that is more simple and becomes the tradition we do yearly as a family. Last night, we made Family Home Evening boards. Many of my LDS friends have seen these for awhile. However, my club is largely non-LDS so this was a new thing for them and very exciting for all of us! I don't have one yet and really needed something to help my family be more regular in our FHE. Here's a picture of us. Debbie is missing, she was taking the picture. Denise was not able to make it last night so she's missing. Pictured is Georgia, myself, Molly, and Ashley. I love these girls!

It's official...my baby stuff is GONE!!!! I'm not committing to any permanent decisions. Let's just leave it that for now, I finally feel relief from the months of tug of war my heart and mind have been having. My luck I'll miss my next period....if that happens, my good friends better be throwing one hell of a shower for me!!! Ha!

Yard Sale!!

I'm having a yard sale on the 18th & 19th. I've decided to sell all of my baby clothes and other stuff.
I've got some dishes I'm getting rid of and my records. Sad to see my records go but I haven't listened to them in about 6 years since my record player took a dump. I cleaned out the bookshelves and closets so I'm getting rid of some handbags and tons of shoes from me & the kids. Bruce is a little bit reluctant to give up his 10-15 year old shoes/clothes that he never ever wears and has no room for. We may or may not have men's stuff. There's more misc. things that I can't think of. My kids will be running a lemonade stand to cool off the shoppers. So, my friends, come check it out!!!

Our Weekend in Oregon

We went to Portland to visit my Uncle Kevin & Aunt Martha for the 4th of July. My sister Patrice & her family went too. We road the tram to the zoo which was very fun!! The zoo is great. It's huge...Then on Saturday we went to Seaside, a little town on the coast.It was a little bizarre to be at the beach in July wearing jackets and being rained on. Had a great day. We went bowling that night after dinner and drove home Sunday. We had a great time but were happy to be back in California. Oregon is very pretty but other than that we didn't care for the state. Crazy stuff there! My camera broke so I had to use my phone. Once I get the pics off of it I'll post some more. But for now, here are a few that my uncle sent me.
